My Car wont start help

Bonnie and Clyde didn't leave anything to chance when making their get away, they would leave their get away car running, that way they didn't have to worry about it not starting when making their escape. The last thing you need whilst making your get away is a vehicle that wont start  - below is some scenarios where this might happen and suggestions on what cause of action you might want to consider before calling assistance.

If your car makes no sounds and shows no dash lights or accessories when turning the key in the ignition:

- First check that your shift is in park, you might want to either give it an extra push into park or if possible take it out and put it back into park before trying to start it again.

- Lift your bonnet and Check your battery terminals, they might not be making a good connection by being loose or having too much corrosion. If they do have corrosion they may be able to be twisted around to a batter connection by using a insulated screwdriver or a clean up with a wire brush might be needed.

If your car is making a clicking noise:

There may be lights on the dash board and your car stereo may be working there may be enough power in the car battery to run them but not enough to turn over a whole engine.

- This is normally a good indication that the car battery is flat and a jump start will be the best option to get you going if this is the case.

Turning the Ignition only results in one click:

- This may be the result of a bad starter motor in which case a jump start will not work in this situation, you may want to consider getting the vehicle towed to your authorized service center.

- Call us on 0488 602 271 to talk about towing options.

The car turns over fine but the engine wont fire:

 - This is more than likely a fuel issue such as a fuel pump or bad fuel in which case a tow would be needed Otherwise it  may even be  the engine has been flooded with too much fuel.

- If the issue is a flooded engine, let it sit for a few minutes for the fuel to evaporate, try starting the vehicle with your foot flat to the floor on the accelerator

- Make sure that your vehicle is parked on a level road, parking  on an incline or decline with low fuel can result in the fuel not reaching the fuel lines
