Checking and maintaining the pressure in you tyres at regular intervals can ensure not only better handling and steering whilst driving but also can give your tyres a longer life.
Tyres that are not inflated to the correct pressure and wear unevenly and sometimes prematurely. A good habit to get into is to check your tyre pressure when you fuel up at a service station. The air pump at petrol stations are free, can let you know what pressure they are at and allow you to inflate to the correct pressure with ease.
Tyre pressure gauge's are a great tool to have in your car to check the pressure too, they are inexpensive and can be purchased from any good auto accessories stores. The correct pressure for your tyres can be found on a plaque of sticker mounted inside of the front door arch or in your vehicle manual.
